Municipal elections are now complete and some of the main issues of the past government were deficiencies in openness, transparency and accountability. The only way these principles can truly be adhered to is through public engagement, learning about our government and asking questions of our elected officials. One method of doing this is by attending Community Council meetings to see first hand how our government works. Decisions are made for our community at these council meetings.

The members of The Save the Bedford Waterfront Committee would like to make sure you know how to find information on where and when these meetings are being held.

The agenda for this week’s North West Community Council Meeting includes an item labeled “Bedford Waterfront Design Study”.  If you are interested in gaining more information and having input on Bedford’s waterfront development, we encourage you to take the time and come to this meeting.  The meeting will take place this Thursday, 7pm at Basinview School.
